PayPal is going to be added as a deposit method to every Bingo site using the St Minver network from next month. More specifically, St Minver’s in-house brand Chit Chat Bingo will start using the service this week while other St Minver sites such as Love Bingo, Littlewoods Bingo, Yahoo Bingo and Bingo Joy are to get the service in August.
Johan Berg, Chief Operating Officer of GTech G2, expressed his excitement about being able to offer the comfort, ease and security that are guaranteed by the PayPal service, to their UK bingo sites. He also highlighted the importance of their worldwide lottery and gaming industry expertise being coupled with the world’s leading e-wallet solution in PayPal. Finally, he thinks that this will definitely be a further improvement to the already very high level of core capabilities in this area as well as the quality of service provided by their company.
Since recently, PayPal, owed by eBay, denied any partnership with online bingo sites apart from the biggest ones. This change of attitude stems from the fact that St Minver was bought by GTech, the leading player in lottery operations worldwide. It is true that GTech has grown rapidly in the online gaming market through its G2 subsidiary, consisting of Boss Media, Finsoft, St Minver and Dynamite Idea, a fact that clearly had an impact on PayPal’s decision to make the deal.
PayPal is extremely popular, a fact indicated by the number of customers, that amount to 23 millions in the UK. Moreover, most online bingo players use the service a lot for their eBay purchases.
